My name is Skyler and I am a student at Lake High School in Hartville. I wanted to help out with the Stark Blessing Box Initiative so I decided to build a box!
With some help from my dad, I built a box that will be placed outside my mom’s office in Canton. We were given a cabinet then we went to Hartville Hardware and bought wood to build the stand and a roof.
The stand I built will keep the box up off the ground and keep hungry critters away! After building the stand, we built a roof and attached shingles to provide more protection from the elements.
The last thing that I had to do was paint everything! I have collected donations to place inside once we get the box in its new home.
I absolutely love working with my hands and finding ways that I can volunteer!
